  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour

  • ¾ teaspoon of salt

Process

Take out your bread machine pan and add the following ingredients: whole-wheat flour, beaten egg, milk, white flour, salt and sugar.  Create a hole at the heart of the mixture and put in the yeast. Select the Dough cycle on your bread machine and press the start button after adding in the mixture. Let it bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes. On a long sheet of waxed paper, sprinkle some flour and put the dough on it. Roll it in a 10 X 14 inch rectangle and spread the butter (or margarine) over it evenly. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon well. Scatter it over the buttered dough and allow it to stay like that for eight minutes. Then, fold the top end of each part downwards to meet the bottom and give it a few twists. Put the twisted parts on a jellyroll pan (veiled with nonstick foil and canola oil). Cover it with a towel and let it expand until it doubles in size. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and then put your twisted dough in the oven to bake for about fifteen minutes or until golden brown.
